Inside WE tv’s Ex Isle and Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars!By Patrice Majorie | November 23, 2015 | Gals On The Town
This #MainEventMonday, we head inside We tv’s celebration at Le Jardin in Hollywood, Calif., for its hit show Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars and their new highly anticipated show Ex Isle. The night was filled with great energy and excitement about the shows.
We spoke with Divorce CourtΓÇÖs Judge Lynn Toler, who was on hand to keep the couples in line on Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars, and she had great things to say about the upcoming season. When asked if she still communicates with any of the couples, Judge Toler exclaimed she follows them all on Twitter and often thinks about Benzino and AltheaΓÇÖs new born baby. When asked who her favorites were on the show, Judge Toler humbly professed to taking a liking to them all, but that Ink, Cedric and Benzino were “very interesting and intriguing.”
It was surprising to see The BachelorΓÇÖs Sean and Catherine Lowe on the show as they are newlyweds and admittedly very happy in love. Sean stated that he would reconsider joining the show if he could make the decision again as it was “too much drama,” while Catherine was more able to look past the drama being brought on the show by the other couples. Both revealed that the drama from the other couples had very little effect on their overall happiness and cohesiveness as a couple, something they are both proud of . . . So one can rightfully wonder then what their motivation for being on the show really is.
Basketball WivesΓÇÖ Sundy Carter and husband Cedric Carter, who were married once before, divorced and are now married again, and Love & Hip Hop: AtlantaΓÇÖs Benzino and Althea Heart, all actually agree that individual and couples therapy is very much overlooked in the African-American community and are happy they all took the steps to better themselves and relationship. Althea did joke that the highs of being in Marriage Bootcamp was “they keep the refrigerator full,” and the lows were “having to deal with the other people on the show.” Of course, she was not specific with whom she had to deal with. We’ll all have to tune in to WE tv for the premier of Marriage Bootcamp Reality Stars on Friday, Dec. 4 to find out!
WE tvΓÇÖs new reality drama is Ex Isle, hosted by Carmen Electra, centers around five former couples who spent a few weeks at the stunning resort, Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic, as they attempted to end their destructive relationship and fully move on and find new healthy and loving relationships. Dr. Ish Major is also on site to guide these couples on the intense and emotional roller coaster. Midway through the season, the couples are thrown for a loop as 10 new singles enter the house to shake things up! We’ve seen a clip from the upcoming series, and spotted a very familiar Divalicious face (maybe you will too!).
Carmen revealed that she grew close to a lot of the cast members as she too has her own experience with bad and tumultuous relationships. Thankfully, she speaks candidly about her past failed relationships several times this season on the show. CanΓÇÖt wait to see it! Ex Isle premiers on WE tv on Friday, Jan. 8.
