Mixology To Get A Black Chick? Will It Be TV DIVAGAL?
By Delaina Dixon | February 24, 2014 | EntertainmentTV DIVAGAL is super excited for ABC’s newest offering Mixology. The new series, premiering this Wednesday, follows ten singles as they navigate their way through one crazy night at a local bar.
But I noticed something was obviously missing when the cast of relative newcomers took the stage at ABC’s Winter Press Tour in January: where was the black chick? It prompted me to ask the question: Is there room for a guest role to add a black, female character to the cast. And then, TV DivaGal got a job offer, kind of. See the actual exchange below:
Series producer Ira Ungerleider: Any suggestions?
TV DivaGal: If you need a woman, I’m right here.
Series creator Scott Moore: Absolutely.
Ira: You look very attractive.
Guys, I’m ready when you are!
Scott did have more to say about the situation. “We have a bunch of guest roles, of people that come in and out of the bar, and I think a lot of the single scene is about the unknown, and who is it going to be,” he shared, adding, “So I would love to see different characters and different types of people in the bar and on the show.”
We would too Scott.
TV DivaGal is pleased to see that cutie Craig Frank is joining the cast as Carl. We’ll be watching and rooting for him to find a special someone before the night is out.
Mixology premieres Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 9:30 p.m. on ABC.
