Welcome to our new column, “New Mom.” Our new mom welcomed her first son just three weeks ago! Here, our Mommy Diva will share her journey and share all her tips that’s helping her make motherhood one of life’s most amazing experiences!
I’ve got a brand new title, that of Mom. Been wanting to join this prestigious club for quite some time now, and got my membership card when my son, Chase, was born just over three weeks ago.
Now I’m learning all about round-the-clock feedings and how to perfect my Gray Boba Wrap from PishPoshBaby.com, and handling a baby who doesn’t like to be cold when his diaper’s changed. This is going to be a lifetime journey, and I’m excited to be sharing it with you.
Here are three things I’m loving to get through Month 1.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Baby Wash. Throughout my pregnancy I used Palmer’s Cocoa Butter on my stomach, butt and thighs, and I am proud to say I never got a single stretch mark. So naturally, I turned to Palmer’s for my post-pregnancy needs. I absolutely love the smell of coca butter and am so please that Palmer’s just introduced their Baby Wash (pictured above). It doesn’t dry out my son’s skin, and it leaves him smelling delicious. ItΓÇÖs a no tears formula, so when I wash it out of his hair he doesn’t even flinch if it gets near his eyes. I like it so much that I’ve used it in the shower and of course, I come out smelling clean and refreshed. ItΓÇÖs delicate yet effective and we both love it.
PalmerΓÇÖs Cocoa Butter Nursing Butter. The other Palmer’s product I am in love with is the nursing butter. This is a must for any nursing woman. After I breast feed, I drab a little on my nipples and it helps sooth any tenderness and pain. Best of all, it doesn’t need to be washed off your breast before breastfeeding your baby, and that time-saving trick is a godsend when my baby is screaming his head off for a post-lunch feeding.
Munchkin Wipe Warmer. My son, like most newborns, hates being cold during a diaper change. And like most newborn boys he loves to pee when the diaper comes off. The Munchkin Wipe Warmer has solved both problems for me! The warmer keeps his wipes nice and warm and when the diaper comes off I place a nice warm wipe over him. The warmth deters him from “letting loose” and helps mommy not get peed on! On the occasions that he does pee while being changed the wipe absorbs the urine. The second the wipe goes on him he’s all smiles, which makes mommy smile too.
I’ll be updating this column as much as a can with a newborn on my hands. Definitely feel free to join me on this adventure of New Mom-myhood. I’m strapping in for one glorious, wild ride!
