Welcome to week three! The weight is coming off! Though we know that slow and steady wins the race, we’d love to look like the weight has come off even quicker. Thanks to Image Gal Samantha von Sperling’s latest makeup discovery from Real Techniques, we’ve discovered a way to fake a thinner us! Read on for her secrets.

Hello DivaGals! Image Gal gave the brushes from Real Techniques Bold Metals collection the ultimate test drive, just before a hot date! Yep, I traded in my usual tried and true brushes for the new and unknown when it really mattered. When you really like the guy, you want to look your best!

I first noticed how makeup seemed to blend onto my skin effortlessly, smoothly and seamlessly, and how the brushes felt deliciously soft on the skin. I used the oval shadow (middle) and pointed crease (bottom) brushes to add a little pop to my eye and added a hot lash line with the angled liner (top). These tools have a professional feel that’s substantial in the hand. Usually brushes feel flimsy like a plastic spork; these have substance and feel more like silverware, which gives the artist even more control.

With that in mind, I moved on to the real work, sculpting a serious cheek. Real Techniques has the coolest ever triangle foundation brush (bottom) that allows you to contour any angle on your face. I then used the taped blush brush (top) to highlight my cheekbones, and they looked fabulous! I set it all with the arched powder brush (middle) for the perfect finish.

The Real Techniques Bold Metals brushes are cruelty free and hand laid. It was like discovering the joy of makeup artistry all over again. And my date told me I was gorgeous. That’s truly a flawless finish!
