Was there any doubt in anyone’s mind that Bachelor Sean Lowe was picking Catherine┬á Giudici last night on the season finale of The Bachelor? His eye lit up every time she entered the room.
As for the show ΓÇô Catherine got grilled by his mom, he took her on an elephant; Sean held her tight on their last night before the final rose ceremony but didn’t say “I love you,” which pissed Catherine off. He dumped Lindsay Yenter, who seemed genuinely upset, then ABC played us, trying to make us think Sean had been dumped by Catherine via a letter ΓÇô nah, she was just telling him how much she loved him again! Finally, he could reciprocate the feelings and asked her to marry him ΓÇô and again, elephant!
It was all soooo romantic. But what I find interesting is the After the Rose ceremony. Sean faced Lindsay and seemed truly uncomfortable as she begged to know why he hadn’t picked her ΓÇô ummm, because he was in love with someone else, ok? And then his fianc├⌐e came out, and she seemed ΓÇô overwhelmed, bored, unengaged? Something just did not seem right for a woman in love.
Sean was spilling over with devotion — long gazing looks with tears in his eyes over his joy for their union, and she just seemed over it. Catherine’s sisters warned Sean she tends to go from man to man once she’s lost interest. If I’ve learned anything about relationships, it’s to listen when someone tells you someone can’t commit.
Maybe I’m wrong, maybe Sean and Catherine will be the first Bachelor couple to make it to the altar (Jason Mesnick and his runner up wife don’t count, Chris Harrison!). But I doubt it.
